Aroma Qualities: A top note with a strong aroma, Petitgrain smells like orange blossoms, but less floral, more herbaceous, and with a bitter undertone.
Blending Information: A pale yellow to amber liquid with a bitter, woody, fresh floral, light citrus scent that blends well with oils such as Bergamot, Cedarwood, Clary Sage, Geranium, Lavender, Lime, Neroli, Orange, Palmarosa, Rosemary, Sandalwood and Ylang-ylang. Native to Southeast Asia, the bitter orange tree that provides Petitgrain, Bitter Orange and Neroli now grows throughout the Mediterranean and sub-tropic areas worldwide. It is reputed for it's use on greasy skin to help clear pimples and acne, and is said to be a stress relieving oil. Frequently used in aromatherapy, body care products, hair care, and cold process and melt and pour soap making.
