Abalone shells make excellent vessels for containing smoldering herbs and incense. It is wise to insulate the bottom of the shell with a minimum of 1 inches of pebbles or tumbles stones to protect the shell against high temperatures. These shells, used for traditional smudging, are ethically harvested in Mexico. They are ideal for burning sweetgrass and sage or burning traditional resin incense on charcoal.
Large Shells measure approximately 6" x 7" ; Each shell has unique colouring and formation.
