The clay and high gloss glaze finishes are specifically designed and tested for daily use, allowing you to use your pottery lovingly, and not just keep it on display. Our pottery is extremely personal, with thoughtfully formed designs and handles, allowing each mug to fit snugly in your hand… When you grab your mug first thing in the morning, you’ll notice the joy the perfect cup brings.
While travelling across Canada and working at a variety of jobs, James Brown kept telling himself that he would return to his first love - making pottery. At 39, returned to Muskoka, Ontario, bought the top of a Precambrian-granite outcrop at the edge of Gravenhurst, designed and then built himself a home and studio to fit the rugged surroundings. Now, Muskoka Bay Pottery is known as a place where one-of-a-kind, handmade gifts are created.
